AI Spend: contract costs, usage and renewal decisions
E-ARI brings AI contracts, reported usage, notice deadlines and governance context into one review. It helps an owner decide what to investigate before renewing, expanding or reducing a service.
What goes into the review?
Record the contract, explicit currency and cost, renewal date, notice period and owner. Link the systems and vendor involved. Import usage with its reporting period so the recommendation can distinguish current evidence from old data.
What does E-ARI return?
The register shows contract economics where the inputs support them, approaching renewal or notice deadlines, missing context and rule-based recommendations. A recommendation is a prompt for review, not an instruction to cancel a contract or a promise of savings.
How does a recommendation become work?
Create an owned review action linked to the contract. Collect the missing usage or governance evidence, record a human decision and retain the facts it was based on. When tracked facts change materially, the decision can require renewed review.
What stays with a person?
The owner checks commercial terms, business dependencies and data quality before approving a decision. Missing or stale usage is a reason to collect evidence, not evidence that a service is unnecessary. E-ARI does not autonomously change subscriptions or spending.
Where do the inputs come from?
Contracts are entered in the register and usage is supplied through the supported CSV import. Evidence connectors do not automatically populate contract prices or usage economics. AI Spend is available on Pro and Enterprise; workspace permissions still determine who can edit and review.
